I am pissed that the 6th Harry Potter film's release date has been pushed back from November 21 to July of 2009. It was three months away, I was pumped up, and the only excuse those media people could give me is because they wanted to "take advantage of an open summer slot." That irritates me because HP is a phenomenon. The exact same people are going to see it in November as in July. It's the 6th installement in a series, how many new viwers do you actually think you are going to get? Grr, I hate how money and profits drive everything. I guess the only good news is that I will not just be finishing the 6th book again by the time the movie comes out. Since Anthony and I read the books to each other and are currently about 500 pages into the 5th book I was guessing that we would be into or almost done with the 6th book by the end of November. And reading the book right before the movie came out was a big reason why I was disappointed in the 5th movie when I initially saw it. Anyways...back to Tuesday. I stayed at the golf course until midnight even though I knew I had to work both jobs on Wednesday, but it was fun. Heard some crazy paranormal stories from Maria and Angela and there were some classic moments, such as, "Andrea just drew the whole neighborhood." But the best was Ken's, "Gina's in the army?" It was great when he just kept going with it and when Angela was talking about Colleen's Irish Pub he goes, "I didn't know they had a base there." Ok, so clearly you had to be there and know Ken (and maybe have a couple of drinks, but it was hilarious.) Wednesday was a weird day. My stomach wouldn't hold anything down, everyone at work must have thought I had some issues what with how many times I went to the bathroom. Then I went to the Hill and was super light-headed and dizzy. I stuck it out for about three hours, until Lynne came up to the gate, took one look at me and said, "You're going home." Well ok, no arguements there. And on a final parting note, on my drive to work today, there was this lady behind me who was digging in her nose and then putting her finger in her mouth everytime she took it out of her nose. She did this probably four or five times. It was gross but I was enthralled and couldn't tear my eyes away. Then she rubbed her finger behind her ears and put her finger in her mouth again. She then proceeded to do this with her other ear. Now, I'll admit I'm a pretty gross person and very much into the TMI but this was just too much for 7:30 in the morning. Vomit tux. So, Tuesday. I actually golfed fairly well considering I didn't go at all last week (crazy work schedule.) I got a 50 with a five on 9; damn taking two shots to get out of the sand...wuss. Anyway, Chris finally decided it was my turn to be Golfer of the Week. She picks someone every week and asks them 4 random questions and I was supposed to be Golfer of the Week in early June but then we kept getting rained out and I couldn't come for various reasons, but my turn finally came. My questions were "Who has the coolest name in sports?" (Bubba Franks), "If I could kareoke to any song," (Man, I Feel Like a Woman), "People would be surprised to know I" (was tear gassed in the State riots of '05) and "My first concert was, (NSync at the Silverdome.) After I answered the last question, Joanie, who was sitting next to me goes, "Hell, mine was fucking Ricky Nelson!" Chris also tried to ask the now infamous, "How often do you serve chicken?" question but I told her I couldn't answer that with my mom sitting right there, because loosely translated the question is how many times a week do you have sex? But after our circle expanded and my mom got further away from me and I drank more of my cosmo, Chris goes, "Well not that she's all the way over there, how often do you serve chicken?" to which I quickly responded, "Two or three," which warranted a high-five from Chris and Angela to go, "That's all?" I then had to explain to her that I can easily work up to 60 hours a week, I have been in this relationship for three years, and I'm not allowed to stay the night with him. So I think two or three times a week with all of that other shit is pretty good. I may die at work next Wednesday if plans go through. Amie, Kristina, and I may go to Shores Inn after golf next Tuesday and whenever we stumble out of there I'm just going to stay at Kristina's since they live in Grosse Pointe Woods and are five minutes from the hospital. I can get up past 7 and still be at work at 8. Although if we are at the bar, who knows what time I would even go to sleep. Oh well, should be fun. My hellacious two days of doing nothing but work related events has commenced. These Thursday/Friday combo shows are going to wear me out pretty fast. Current Mood: hungry

So, weekend. I ditched work early on Friday (and by early I mean 3:30) because once again there was no one in the office. I think when I left Jen was the only one that was still there. So I stopped at Subway and then went to Anthony's for a little bit before we went to the Hill. I was not told of the construction that was going on on Schoenherr so we had some issues and were about 15 minutes late for work. Crazy Amanda was at the Tigers game so Stephanie worked at the gate with me. She normally works at main gate so even though we were busy she was like, "WTF" because compartively, we were kind of slow. The place was pretty packed, I never got the final count from Ross but my guess was around 5,500. We had a few issues and Amber got in some guy's face and almost kicked him out and I was all excited. Shit normally doesn't happen right at our gate. It happens near the gate a lot but not ever right at the gate with our security guards. Although I had my own set of issues Friday night. It was getting near the end of the show and I got that not so good feeling that let my brain know that I had leaked through my tampon. Not good when you are wearing khaki shorts that are so thin you can't even wear underwear with them. I went to the bathroom to assess the situation and it wasn't that bad but I knew it was only going to get worse if I didn't fix it immediately. I ran into Autumn on the way out of the bathroom and she was of no help. I then cornered my Aunt Sharon who had nothing but then asked both of her friends and all they could come up with was a pad, which obviously wouldn't work, as I have I already mentioned my lack of underwear. Well Aunt Sharon then took it was her personal mission to find me a tampon, even going as far to ask Gino, whose response was, "Yeah we can get her one. It's generic though." This was followed by Don heading out to one of the storage bins with a flashlight and coming back with his hands held discreetly behind him. I told him he was my hero...although this is the second time I have had heroes at Freedom Hill for this same reason. Our new blue shirts really need to learn how to clean up the fucking ampitheater. I usually go throw and pick up miscellenous things that people miss instead of going up and cleaning the Hill and in years past I might get a handful of stuff but the past two shows I have ended up with a whole bag of garbage. There is no excuse for missing that much stuff, especially since most of it is in the cup holders and right in the middle of the fucking aisle. I have bitched to Lynne about it (she even hit me when I said "bitch" even though there was no one around the two of us) and I know she understands, but really, what can you do? I stayed at Anthony's on Friday night since my parents were up north and we were going to East Lansing early in the morning. We left at 7:30, were at Becky's dorm a little after 9:00, went to the stifling hot apartment (although I'm not complaining because that means less drama with the Consumer's bill) got everything into Anthony's car, turned in my keys and were back at home by noon. I napped/lounged for most of the afternoon until we went to Amanda's graduation party. Amanda and I went in the moonwalk for a little bit where all the kids laughed at me because when I bounced on my butt, I didn't immediately bounce up on my feet like the rest of them. Oh the joys of being 7 again. There were also these twin baby girls there (Amanda's cousins I think.) They are only a few months old and they are so adorable, Anthony and I wanted to take them home. We stayed there for a few hours but didn't make it to beer pong time. Yesterday I had nothing to do so that's exactly what I did, nothing. And it felt good. Current Mood: okay

Work-62.5% Sleep-25% Driving to and from work-8.3% Getting ready for work-4.2% Between today and yesterday, that's the amount of time I will have spent doing the above activities. Translation: I have done nothing but work. But that just means next Friday I will have some hefty paychecks. And last night at the Hill was a blast. We had only sold about 1100 tickets prior to show time but ended up with a total of 4300 people. That's a TON of walk-ups. God bless vouchers. At the end of the night we had to hand out more vouchers (Al Green, Bow Wow, Ultimate Doo Wop, and Boyz II Men) and I was not happy at first because I thought there was no way we could hand out stuff for that many shows but it worked out nicely and we had a huge crowd of people more less shopping right there at the gate and we went through almost all of the vouchers we had for Boyz II Men and did run out of Al Green. It was honestly probably the most fun I have had at the gate, I normally hate handing out stuff at the end of the night because it's hard to say good-night to people when you are trying to pawn stuff off on them but these people were just so accepting of what we were giving and kept coming back for more. I am jealous of John. He works at the main gate and on Tuesday he came in and he had on the back of his shirt, "No re-entry." Amanda tried to tell him that he had stolen her copyright idea because we have always said we have wanted to put something like that on the back of our shirts so we wouldn't have to talk to people. Well yesterday he comes into work and on the back of his shirt it says, "Don't ask." Loved it. He said it was either that or "Shut the fuck up," which, while not very professional, would have been highly entertaining. I had coffee for the first time in two months today. I got it the first week or two I was working but more than anything, it just ended up giving me a headache later in the day so I cut it out, since I got used to getting up at 6am anyway. Well, I knew I had no choice but to go to Beaner's today since I got 5 hours of sleep and am facing another 15 hour work day. I got an iced Caramel Marvel and oh my God, so good. It was like crack. My first sip and I was like, "Why did I stop getting you?" I don't think I am going to make it a habit again though because now my tummy is rumbling and in the long run, it will save me money to not drink it. Current Mood: bouncy

I am so exhausted right now. But last night was fun so I shouldn't complain. After my 8 hour work day of MySpacing yesterday, I had to go to Freedom Hill to work my first concert of the summer. I ended up getting there early but I figured that would happen when I left Grosse Pointe. Anyway, it's just me, Ross, Lynne, Tony, and Vinnie hanging out in the Greektown tent when the heavens open and it starts POURING. It stopped as suddenly as it started but about 10 minutes later it started up again. It was highly entertaining to watch all of our fellow co-workers running crazily to the tent like they weren't going to be soaking wet. But apparently it was not all fun and games in the rain department, I heard that the 19 & Schoenherr area was more or less a war zone with trees down everywhere and such. The weather was perfect for the show though and we surprisingly didn't have to turn away that many umbrellas at the gate, no more than a normal show. Everything at the gate actually went quite smoothly, if all the shows were like that my job would be a cake walk (more than it already is.) Afterwards a group of us (me, Anthony, Amanada, Chris, Jane, Brad, and Pete) went to BDubs. 'Twas fun although they all ripped on Anthony and I because we didn't wear our blue shirts inside so we were not representing properly. We had a good time talking about crazy people at the show and the midget security guard. I want to see what would happen if she had to break up a fight or kick someone out. I do believe that would be my Freedom Hill highlight of the summer, even more than yesterday when Amanda asked the valet guys if they had to shave their legs to work for Jarrod. Oh, and the martini in my icon? I want one for realz. Current Mood: tired

Just a quick recap of some moments/quotes from the long weekend of graduations. -"It's Jeff with two F's when you call and complain." -"I didn't know what to ask for Secret Santa this past year so as a joke I wrote porn. And the lady got me two $9.99 videos, a magazine, and a sticker that says, 'Vaginas are way cool.'" "Do you still have the tapes?" "No, I traded them for two crappier ones." -"Porn is like baseball cards, you can only look at the same one so many times before you need something new." -JJ getting bumped by a car and then the driver saying that he was in his way. Kyle's response later: "Well what if a tree was in your way? Would you just run into it?" -The rudest people ever apparently send their children to Dakota. -Parents trying to get Kyle to fire himself. "What's going to happen when they call and complain? The call is going to be sent to me and I'm not going to fire me." -The principal of Chippewa laying the smack down when the kids starting throwing beach balls around. -"Look how cute she is, she can't walk!" Because Autumn loves old people. -And finally ending the night with, "Blow me!" and Jeff going, "I love you guys." Current Mood: thirsty Noises Around Me: nothing

*My wisdom teeth surgery went well. The IV knocked me out good and the pain wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I took Vicodin for a few days, which pretty much made it so I couldn't sleep for more than 4 hours at a time at night. And everytime after I took one, 20 minutes to a half hour later, I fell asleep for an hour. *First show at the Hill was last Sunday and even though the weather forecast never got above 60 degrees, most of the people were still idiots who forgot to bring in coats and/or blankets so Autumn and I had an awesome time telling people there was no re-entry literally every other minute. *10th Annual MJ Classic was on Saturday and we had official shirts this year. We also had a draft this year and I, as a captain, drafted Aunt Joan, Amy, Emily, and Erin. We were at a disadvantage the entire time because we were all girls and therefore didn't have a long second shot and would never have the opportunity to birdie a whole. Either way we finished four over and had a putt-off with Steve's team for last place and even though we lost we played as best we could. Oh and Anthony was on my dad's team and had a Tiger Woods-esque putt for par on the last hole. *After the MJ Classic, Anthony and I went up to his cottage. It was a fun time except for the lame-o fact that his mom made us all go to the movies to Shrek 3 (I think the whole "going to the movies as a family thing" is lame and should not be continued after the children in the family are over 10.) She also was taking enough pictures to make a Japanese tourist jealous...and come on, this is the cottage where she spends most of her weekends anyway. I just didn't like the feeling that every other step I took was photo documented. *My mother is driving me crazy but that's not anything new. One more year and hopefully I will have a job that will give me enough money so that I can move out. Current Mood: hot Noises Around Me: Nothing

I went to Ford on Friday to do observations for my sociology paper. I spent the whole day with Madame Kort and it was fun to catch up, hear the gossip about her daughters, and whatnot. I also got to see Allmacher and I have to admit, he looked damn good, even though he kept saying how old he was. I think he was saying that so I wouldn't hit on him but whatever. Deflate the ego a little bit buddy. Went to Joe's basketball game and it was very exciting. They won 56-55 in overtime after they only scored one basket in the first quarter, causing the coach to give them the speech of, "You guys are embarrasing. If you hit the rim, you get a point." I held a newborn baby for the first time in...forever, on Saturday. Anthony and I went to go visit Lindsay and meet Alexa and she is the most adorable little baby. I was really nervous when I first held her but I felt like I got more relaxed the longer I held her. She slept the entire time we were there and I never wanted to let her go. Being there made me want a baby although there is no way I could have one now. I almost want to fast-forward to when I am married and have more money than I have now so I can have my own babies. I took Anthony golfing with me and Joey at Burning Tree on Sunday even though he only hit the ball a few times and just walked with us the rest of the time. I'm going to take him to the driving range a few times before Mark's birthday party so hopefully he can hit the ball every time he attempts to. I shot a 48, which I was really proud of for my first round of the season, especially since I felt like I was hacking it around most of the time. Sunday night we went to Travis' and played the Wii. I didn't like the golf game because I couldn't get away from my normal golf swing the bowling and tennis games were cool. And now since I can't have any entry without mentioning sex...we had sex in candlelight the other night and it was pretty cool. A lot better than in pitch black and not as loserish as with the TV on in the background, which is what we normally do. We also did it in the bathtub which was tons of fun. (And counts as shower sex so one more thing is now crossed off my list.) Overall, awesome weekend. Current Mood: okay Noises Around Me: Everybody Loves Raymond
